Job summary

Admiral Security Services is seeking a full-time security officer in the Curtis Bay area of Baltimore, MD. The role involves guarding facilities, controlling access for guests, enforcing policies, patrolling premises, and reporting incidents to management.

The position requires working Saturday to Wednesday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, standing for long periods, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Benefits include health and life insurance, 401(k), and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Able to multitask and use MS Office.
• One year of verifiable work experience; military/related degree counts.
• Must have or obtain Maryland Security Guard card.
• Must have or obtain a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforce client and company policies and procedures.
• Observe and report security and safety hazards.
• Conduct routine foot patrols around the building.
• Report issues to operations manager, client, and ADM department managers.
• Interact with clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Available Shifts

Saturday - Wednesday

700 am - 300 pm

Location Curtis Bay area (not on a bus route)

Pay rate $18.00 Hourly

The selected candidate will perform various security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders. These duties may include

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate.
• Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position may require work inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting. A portion of this position may require sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (we test for the following Amphetamines, including methamphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana/THC, Phencyclidine and Opiates)
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft office products.
• Must be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
• Must have at least one year of verifiable work experience. One year of military, concierge or an AA or BA in a related field will be considered as well.
• Must have or be able to obtain Maryland Security Gaurd card.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
