Job summary

LG Energy Solution, Ltd. seeks a senior leader to head the Information Security Organization in the United States, with accountability to the HQ Security Team and responsibility for safeguarding information and facilities across sites.

You will manage IT and physical security, drive security programs, oversee projects, develop policies and procedures, train staff, perform background checks, and coordinate with HR to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in information security.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with a process-oriented mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Information Security Organization and manage personnel and external partner staff.
• Communicate with HQ Security team.
• Oversee both physical and IT security management.
• Manage Information Security projects and initiatives.
• Develop site information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality in security and personnel matters.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of security equipment (CCTV, alarms, access control).
• Train employees on security procedures and evacuation.
• Conduct background checks on new hires and contractors as requested by HR.
• Inspect, test, and maintain security and life-safety equipment.
• Meet regularly with team to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
• Assist HSE team on tasks to support the department's mission.

Job description

This position will lead the Information Security Organization and communicate with Headquarter Security Team.

Responsibilities:

• People management of Information Security Organization personnel & IT related external partner employees
• Communicate with HQ Security team.
• Overall management of physical and IT Security
• Manage Information Security Projects
• Develop site Information Security Polices, Standards, and Procedures
• Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the work place
• Select and oversee installation, and maintenance of security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems
• Train employees on security procedures, such as proper badge use, handling of sensitive materials, and evacuation procedures
• Conduct background checks on new hires and contractors as requested by the Human Resources Department
• Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of security and other life safety equipment
• Attend meetings and work with team members to ensure a safe a secure working environment
• Assist other members of the HSE team in completing tasks that may or may not be security related at times to maintain the overall mission of the HSE department
