Job summary

Brookfield Properties Multifamily LLC seeks a Security Manager to safeguard our multifamily properties, residents, and assets. You will patrol, assess risks, deter theft or vandalism, and respond to incidents to uphold safety.

You will lead security staff, plan schedules, train, and evaluate performance, and update procedures while participating in safety programs. You will manage life-safety systems as first responder and coordinate with monitoring partners.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years security management experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff
• Strong incident reporting and investigation skills

• Knowledge of life-safety systems and procedures

Responsibilities

• Acts as first responder and manager of life-safety systems within buildings; coordinates faults, alarms, repairs, and monitoring communications.

Job Description Position Summary

The Security Manager - provides security and safety by patrolling multifamily properties. They will guard against theft, vandalism, violence or other threats against the company, residents, tenants, or patrons. This will be accomplished through their direct efforts and the efforts of the staff they directly manage. In reference to the company portfolio, the Security Director - SDA will be assigned to locations of greater complexity. Complexity factors include location of property, budget, crime rate, size of property, etc.

Essential Job Functions

• Patrols multifamily property(ies) to ensure safety and security. Monitors comings and goings of property, provides customer service, accepts deliveries, patrols assigned areas. (50%)
• Reviews incident and claim reports of fraud, assault injury or crimes. (20%)
• May lead and manage employees on a direct or indirect basis. Responsible for scheduling, recruitment, hiring, training, developing, holding accountable, implementing corrective action and terminating employees. Completes performance evaluation on supervised employees. (20%)
• Updates security procedures. (5%)
• Participates in safety program. (5%)
• Will take lead on being first respondent and manager of the life safety systems within the buildings. Any faults, trouble alarms, repairs to fire panel, communication to monitoring company. (0%)
