Job summary

Meijer in Indiana is seeking a dedicated asset protection team member to help create a safe shopping environment. You will inspect exteriors, backrooms, and sales floor, monitor for theft, and document incidents thoroughly.

The role emphasizes collaboration with store leadership, adherence to safety policies, and participation in training and ongoing development. A High School diploma and 6 months security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects exterior/parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• C conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up as necessary.
• Conducts shoplifting surveillance.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment for effective operation.
• Reviews alarm system printer for suspicious activity.
• Participates in apprehension of those in violation of the law and assists in prosecution of external theft cases.
• Engages in extensive documentation and report writing for litigation.
• Testifies in criminal or civil court proceedings.
• Adheres to all safety practices and policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
