Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Security Manager to provide security leadership across the contract, including policy, planning, evaluation, technology, compliance, incident management, vulnerability management, and GRC. The role requires leading security governance across a complex multi-vendor government IT environment and coordinating annual SOC 2 Type 2 audits.

Preferred location is the Austin, TX metropolitan area or San Angelo, TX with relocation support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity leadership on government IT contracts.
• Experience with TAC Chapter 202 / Texas cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide security policy, procedures, planning, evaluation, and technology leadership.
• Coordinate SOC 2 Type 2 audits and corrective actions.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning and risk management across a multi-vendor environment.
• Communicate security risks and compliance status to senior stakeholders.
