Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image to Clients, employees, and the general public with above-average customer service skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug test at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Two years minimum of security officer experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Billable: maintain a personal presence at the facility and be approachable to staff and patrons.
• Direct, supervise, and manage subordinates in security operations while upholding policy and safety standards.
• Oversee site training and ensure officers follow post guidelines.
• Maintain updated post guidelines and review them annually with client and operations manager.
• Maintain regular client communication and follow through with requests.
• Approve time sheets and ensure weekly submission.
• Assist with progressive disciplinary actions per policy.
• Review and approve written incident reports.
• Maintain inventory of DK and client equipment and uniforms.

Job Skills / Requirements

Uniform Security Lead Officer is responsible for the overall success of the security operations of the site and leadership of assigned officers. The Uniform Security Lead Officer is responsible for contributing to the overall goals and direction of our clients and the organization as a whole.

LOCATION: Detroit, MI.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Billable: The vast majority of the position is operational, requiring the supervisor to maintain a personal presence throughout the facility and becoming recognized by and approachable to staff and patrons.
• Supervision: Direct, supervise, and manage subordinates in the execution of appropriate strategies, consistent with law, Client and Company policy, and accepted security standards that maintain a safe, secure and orderly decorum in support of the stated organizational mission.
• Site Training : Oversee the training of all assigned officers and ensure they are appropriately and thoroughly carrying out all duties outlined in the site’s post guidelines.
• Site Post Orders: Maintain updated post guidelines for the security operations of the site and meet with client and operations manager (at minimum) annually to jointly review and update guidelines.
• Client Communication : Maintain regular communication with the designated client contact, follow through with client requests and keep operations manager updated as to client communication.
• Payroll : Approve time sheets and ensure they are submitted weekly within company established deadlines.
• Discipline : Assist Management with implementing progressive disciplinary actions for subordinate violations of Company or Client Policy as necessary, in strict accordance with established company policy after consultation and direction from Human Resources.
• Incident Reports : Review and approve all written reports of investigation generated by assigned personnel.
• Site Equipment and Uniforms : Maintain an inventory of and report problems associated with DK and client owned equipment and uniforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED (associates degree preferred).
• Must be of good moral character, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for criminal sexual conduct or related offenses, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude, is required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Previous leadership and / or supervisory experience is preferred.
• 2 years minimum of experience as a security officer is strongly preferred.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image to Clients, employees, and the general public and have above average customer service skills.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aid/AED Certified (prior certification is preferred).
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Experience scheduling is preferred.
• Must have a flexible schedule, willingness to cover shifts on short notice.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to various locations.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be physically and mentally sound
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, and to hold objects
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for 8-12 hour shifts, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
