Job summary

Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLC is seeking a Security Guard for our DC2 distribution center in Midway, KY. You will be the eyes and ears of a bustling warehouse, ensuring employees, visitors, and cargo are safe and accounted for each shift.

You will patrol the facility, monitor CCTV, verify visitor check-ins, and respond to emergencies while applying OSHA standards and documenting any concerns for supervisor review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in security, loss prevention, or related field preferred.
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate findings clearly and promptly.
• Comfortable using computer systems to log activity and track assets.

Responsibilities

• Track and audit cargo trailers using yard management system.
• Patrol the warehouse, yard, and perimeter for signs of trespassing or safety issues.
• Monitor the facility via CCTV and direct observation; report unusual activity.
• Verify visitor identities and manage check-in per policy.
• Respond to emergencies following escalation procedures.
• Apply OSHA standards in daily rounds and flag compliance concerns.
