Job summary

Allied Universal in Hebron, Kentucky is seeking a part-time Security Guard to protect a warehouse facility. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents in line with site procedures.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, supporting loss prevention, and maintaining safety across loading docks, parking areas, and entry points. A high school diploma and background check are required; CPR is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Position Details

Position type: Part Time

Pay rate: $15.75 per hour

Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying authorized entry, and reporting unauthorized persons, vehicles, and/or activities.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing package handling areas, reporting damaged property or suspicious behavior, and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
