Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer (Full Time) to greet employees and visitors, monitor access, and maintain a safe environment at a high-profile AI workplace.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and collaborate with a global security team while upholding the company’s people-first culture and standards. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate or commercial security experience
• California BSIS guard card (guard registration)
• Experience with access control systems and visitor management procedures
• Knowledge of threat awareness including social engineering recognition and insider threat indicators
• Clear and accurate written and verbal English communication to work with client staff and global security teams
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment; licensing requirements as per state/local laws

What You'll Do:

• Deliver a polished, welcoming front-of-house experience for employees, visitors, and vendors, including reception and concierge duties.
• Manage access control and visitor procedures in line with site-specific protocols, keeping the environment orderly and secure.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, and perimeter spaces to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Stay alert to social engineering attempts, insider threat indicators, and perimeter vulnerabilities, and escalater concerns promptly.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies calmly and professionally, including first aid and fire warden duties where applicable.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports and communicate effectively with on-site leadership, Allied Universal management, and the client's global security operations.
• Handle client systems and information with care, following data protection requirements, including the prohibition on extracting data from client systems and breach reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements (Required to Be Considered):

• A minimum of 3 years of corporate or commercial security experience.
• A valid California security guard registration (BSIS guard card).
• Experience with access control systems, visitor management procedures, and incident reporting.
• Working knowledge of threat awareness, including social engineering recognition and insider threat indicators.
• Clear, accurate written and verbal English communication, sufficient to work with client staff and global security teams.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR/First Aid certification (may be required by site).
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using digital security tools, a computer, or a tablet.
• Access control and badge system experience.
• Willingness to serve as first aider and/or fire warden, with training provided.
• Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
