Job summary

Surefox North America Inc. seeks an experienced Incident Commander for short-duration events in New York. You will act as a liaison between Surefox and clients, delivering emergency response and adhering to client policies and state and federal regulations.

As the Temporary Incident Commander, you will perform security patrols, manage access control, monitor entrances, and compose incident reports. Candidates must meet US work eligibility, be 18+, hold a NYS guard card, CPR/AED/First Aid cert,

Job description

Surefox North America Inc is a veteran owned company that pride ourselves on creating a diverse and unique culture of trained and talented individuals. We are currently seeking an experienced individuals with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team.

You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the Shift Supervisors and Area Managers for our top clients. In your day to day role as an Incident Commander, you will be acting as a liaison between Surefox and its clients while providing emergency response. You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations.

Other responsibilities include responding to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, staffing deficiencies, and handling client requests in a timely manner. Under certain circumstances, an Incident Commander will be expected to initiate preliminary investigations by writing incident reports on all internal client and company issues. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail.

Base hourly rate $30.00
Work Schedule Temporary October 24th - 31st 2026

As a Temporary Incident Commander Employee for short duration specialty events, you will be required to do the following:

• Perform security patrols in your assigned area to look for and deter suspicious or nefarious activity while operating on foot.
• Assist with access control operations, including verifying the proper ID and credentials of individuals attempting to access the client’s facilities.
• Monitor entrances and exits to a given facility or site to ensure continued security and protection of the client’s employees and property.
• Provide assistance to clients’ employees as needed and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner.
• Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.
• Respond to and assist immediately and safely with any emergencies on-site.
• Assist with preparing reports and statements as it pertains to accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities that may occur during your assigned shift.

What is required:

• Must be eligible for employment within the United States.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines.
• Must have a current NYS guard card.
• Must have or be in the process of attaining a CPR/AED & First-Aid certificationfrom a recognized certification authority.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)
• Must be customer service oriented and have the ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Must have good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Must be able and willing to understand and follow written and verbal instructions as given by supervisory and managerial personnel.
• Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Must be able to safely and effectively deploy and use any assigned equipment for the assigned role/position.
• Must be able and be on your feet for long periods of time and/or able to stand and conduct foot patrols for the duration of your shift.

What is desired:
