Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System is seeking per-diem Security Guards to monitor all persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility. The role includes maintaining logs, directing emergency personnel, and ensuring smooth traffic flow during drills and emergencies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of security-related experience. CPR and de-escalation certification is required, with first aid possible depending on state or facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

Belmont currently has openings for per-diem Security Guards. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
