Allied Universal® in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to provide welcoming, secure service at a retail location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors, employees, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as per laws.

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and reporting.
• Monitor and control access points at a retail location, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving actions and proper escalation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify unauthorized access and unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, visitor access, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points at a retail location, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access and unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, visitor access, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
