Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard for a Columbus, OH location. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide customer service while upholding the company’s culture of integrity and teamwork.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site operations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe freight movement and dock activity for security-related concerns, report policy violations, and support orderly operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
