Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• A state, county, or city security license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will screen applicants per laws, and a drug screen may apply.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Guard Part Time Shopping Center Patrol in FRESH MEADOWS, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
