Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Security Guard in Keewatin, MN. You will safeguard clients across industries, manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide outstanding customer service with a visible presence.

Pay rate is $18.25 per hour with a schedule that includes DayTime Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Minimums: 18+ (21+ for armed), HS diploma, background check, and drug screen as required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor and control access to an industrial location by verifying credentials and directing authorized personnel.
• Operate access-control systems, gates, and communication equipment and report issues.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner following escalation protocols.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to an industrial manufacturing location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Operate access-control systems, gates, and communication equipment; report access concerns, unusual activity, and equipment issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, perimeter areas, parking locations, and assigned facility areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
