As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Jamaica, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur08:30 AM - 12:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining professional interactions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
