Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Shepherdsville, KY. The role offers flexible hours with anchor shifts and options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter routes.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document activity per location policies.
• Support emergency response activities and prepare incident reports for supervisors or client representatives.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Typical schedule includes a fixed anchor shift and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as available. Specific hours may be provided by the site.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, vendor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with location policies.
• Support emergency response activities, prepare clear incident reports, and communicate observed issues to supervisors and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
