Job summary

Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard for hospital support. The role focuses on safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service. You will patrol healthcare facilities, monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and document incidents following site protocols.

Flexibility to build a schedule using our shift platform. Prior security or customer-service experience is preferred; CPR training is a plus; vaccination

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen required by law.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors and restricted-area access procedures; report suspicious activity.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, supporting restricted-area access procedures, and reporting suspicious activity or policy concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
