Job summary

The City of San Antonio is hiring a Security Guard for patrol and surveillance duties at a City facility in San Antonio, TX. You will monitor buildings, deter theft or disturbances, assist the public, and maintain logs while responding to emergencies.

Shift work includes 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, or 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed. A valid Texas Driver's License and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, recognized by TEA or equivalent.
• One year of security guard or related experience.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas to deter theft, handle hazards, and report conditions.
• Detains or prevents entry by unauthorized persons as needed.
• Reports conditions and maintains logs; monitors entry/exit points at City events.
• Provides directions and information to customers and the public.
• Commits information via two-way radio and handles related duties.
