Job summary

Allied Universal in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Full Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol) to safeguard clients across healthcare locations and provide exceptional service to patients, visitors and staff.

You'll monitor and deter security incidents, conduct patrols, and respond professionally to emergencies while maintaining a welcoming environment and strong teamwork with the client site. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, staff, and facility operations.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions and/or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
