What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.


• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific policies; assist with visitor management and report unauthorized access attempts.


• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Possess an armed guard card or license.


• Pepper spray certification is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
