POSITION SUMMARY:
A Security Guard with The Salvation Army is charged with maintaining a safe environment for all employees, clients, and visitors to the Kroc Center Hawaii. The position provides a visual security presence to ensure that members and guests have a safe and pleasant experience while visiting the Center. The position will also be responsible for facility monitoring during hours of operation as well as when closed. Candidate will all also execute emergency response procedures as required.
The Security Guard will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-handy coordination; use of vision; driving a vehicle; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 50-75 pounds and occasionally more than 75 pounds. This employee may also be required to work weekends, holidays and evenings.

The employee is regularly exposed to inside and outside work in all types of weather, i.e., wet, and/or humid conditions, heat or cold.
