Job summary

Allied Universal in Colorado Springs is seeking a Security Guard Flex Vehicle Patrol to protect clients across multiple industries. You will perform patrols on foot or in vehicle, respond to alarms, and report incidents.

Shifts vary weekly with our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift scheduling program, often with little advance notice. Enjoy 30-40 hours weekly with a pathway to growth within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Armed vs unarmed roles: 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed); license may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of infractions and control access points.
• Observe departures to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and maintain written post logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.

Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $19.82 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel the required distance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
