Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Woodland Hills, California. This role offers fixed shifts with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

This position emphasizes customer service, security protocols, and safety, with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour and opportunities for growth through training and advancement.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Vehicle Patrol in Woodland Hills, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and guests by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and help maintain orderly operations during services, events, and high‑traffic periods.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
