Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Groveport, OH. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and observe shipping/receiving operations for security-related issues.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Groveport, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Observe shipping and receiving operations, report damaged fencing, unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and other security-related conditions, and maintain accurate daily activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
