Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities to identify hazards or policy concerns and report accordingly.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity following site procedures and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate information to site leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
