Job summary

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license is required.

• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and daily activity logs, while complying with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Clearance Patrol in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $28.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 11:59 PM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
