Job summary

Circle the City in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an unarmed security officer for the Downtown Family Health Center. This full-time position involves patrolling, access control, and responding to incidents in a healthcare environment.

You will work with the Security Supervisor and Facilities Manager, adhere to POST Orders, and support the Emergency Operations Team. Candidates must be 21+, have good communication and customer service skills, and possess a DPS/Guard Card.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 21 years or older.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Minimum 1 year of security guard experience; healthcare facility experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Computer skills: MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Able to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
• Requires a current Arizona DPS Guard Card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transition between day and night shifts.
• Bag checks and bag storage.
• Assist in dorm cleaning.
• Perform searches of dorms.
• Premise patrols.
• Close building during business hours.
• Head counts for patients or staff.
• Maintain vehicle key checkout/in logs.
• Maintain storage logs.
• Maintain the Hot Box log.
• Assist as a member of the Emergency Operations Team.
• Ensure safety and security of the building, staff, and clients.
• Complete and submit incident reports.
• Other duties as defined by POST Orders.

Location: Downtown Family Health Center – Phoenix, AZ 85007

Position Type: Full Time

Under the supervision and oversight of the Security Supervisor with matrixed responsibility to the Program Managers and the Facilities Manager, the guard will follow the site POST Orders and any additional direction as given by the site Program Manager, Security Supervisor, and Facilities Manager. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Essential Duties

• Transition from Day to Night shift and or Night to Day shift
• Bag check and Bag storage
• Assist in Dorm Cleaning
• Searches of Dorms
• Premise patrol
• Building business hours closing procedures
• Patient Head Counts
• Maintain the Vehicle Key check out/in logs
• Maintain the Storage logs
• Maintain the Hot Box log
• Assist as a member of the Emergency Operations Team
• Maintain the safety and security of the building, staff, and clients
• Complete and turn in Incident Reports
• Other Duties as defined in the POST Orders
• Unarmed security position

Qualifications

• Requires a current Arizona Department of Safety Clearance Card and/or Guard Card.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing
• Position requires regular bending and reaching
• Able to adapt to rapid, unpredictable work flow.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with the underserved population preferred
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
