Fast Guard Service Career Center in California is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for our organization. The role involves monitoring visitor entrances, reporting incidents, and upholding security protocols with a professional presence.

This on-call position offers $20/hour for unarmed guards and $30/hour for armed guards nationwide; candidates should have DPSST certification, a high school diploma, a valid D-License, and at least 1 year of security

Qualifications

• DPSST certification required.

• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergencies.

Additionally, the Security Guard will maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on the job and prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high-visibility presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the entrance and exit of visitors according to established protocols.
• Use provided communication devices, such as two-way radios, in a clear and concise manner to report incidents promptly.
• Alert the appropriate personnel or authorities in the event of suspicious or criminal activities.
• Follow all security protocols and procedures established by the company to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on duty.
• Prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high-visibility presence.

Requirements:

• DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards & Training) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid D-License.
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.

Additional Information/Requirements:

• Must have a mode of reliable transportation.
• This is an on-call position only.
• Compensation: $20 per hour for unarmed positions, $30 per hour for armed positions, applicable nationwide.
