Job summary

Fast Guard Service is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to uphold safety and security for our organization in Chico, California. The Security Guard will monitor visitor access, report suspicious activities, and adhere to established security protocols while maintaining a professional presence on the job.

Candidates must possess a DPSST certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of security experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. This is an on-call position with compensation of $20 per hour for unarmed roles and $30 per hour for armed positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Use provided communication devices, such as two-way radios, in a clear and concise manner to report incidents promptly.
• Alert the appropriate personnel or authorities in the event of suspicious or criminal activities.
• Follow all security protocols and procedures established by the company to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on duty.
• Prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high-visibility presence.

Requirements

• DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards & Training) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid D-License.
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
