Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard Armed Patrol in Miami, FL to protect client sites across technology and telecom environments. The role emphasizes professional customer service, visible security presence, access control, and incident response in a critical infrastructure setting.

You will monitor access points, perform armed patrols, document activities, and maintain required firearms and equipment in compliance with policy and law.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law; driving license for driving roles if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a critical technology infrastructure location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, data hall access points, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor visitor, contractor, and delivery activity; verify authorization and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and access-related documentation.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
