Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Nashville, NC to protect government facilities. You will patrol, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns with professionalism and customer service. A valid armed guard card/license and a driver’s license are required, along with compliance to post orders and applicable laws.

You will work a day schedule on a full-time basis, with duties including access control and incident response, while upholding Allied Universal values.

Qualifications

Job Description

Security Officer Armed Patrol Inspection Driver in Nashville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. You will deliver outstanding communication and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government correctional facility areas, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
