Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas to deter threats and identify concerns.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, violations, hazards, and suspicious activity; document incidents accurately.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established procedures with site personnel.
• Operate assigned security equipment and stay ready to respond in accordance with laws and post orders.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Tillery, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, buildings, grounds, perimeter zones, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious activity; document incidents accurately and notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and maintaining appropriate communication with site personnel.
• Operate assigned security-related equipment and maintain readiness to respond in accordance with licensing requirements, training, post orders, and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
