Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Driver Patrol Security Officer in Miami, FL. You will conduct armed patrols, control access, and respond to incidents, protecting people and property at government facilities.

Requires an Armed Guard Card/License and valid driver’s license; background checks and drug screening apply. Full-time, 30+ hours weekly, driving duties included.

As a Security Guard Armed Driver Patrol Threat Detection in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service to visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and contacting appropriate emergency personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with established government facility protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
