Allied Universal in Elwood, IL, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a designated site. You will deliver customer service, monitor access and enforce site procedures.

This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while building experience toward full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization in Elwood, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

DayTimeMon05:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor and access-control records; communicate access concerns or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This position is primarily a driving post.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
