Job summary

GDI, Inc. is hiring a dependable Security Guard to cover shifts across our facilities in the United States. The role requires open availability, vigilence, and teamwork to protect premises and support staff.

Shift times include 3:00pm–11:00pm and 11:00pm–7:00am. We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, EAP and employee discounts, with opportunities for promotion.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, military, law enforcement or related fields.
• Familiarity with security equipment and procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out detailed reports on incidents and occurrences.
• Thoroughly inspect doors, windows, and gates for proper function.
• Warn violators of rules and regulations and enforce compliance.
• Report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaks.
• Coordinate with emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Use provided software to annotate events during shifts.
• Audit rounds around the property and follow management directions.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a security team.

Job Duties

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a light physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have a reliable means of transportation
