Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID, and seeks a night security guard to perform patrols and protect life and property. The role runs Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, in a full-time capacity.

You will maintain logs, assist in transporting students, and coordinate with leadership to support student retention. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of security experience or security training,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of security experience or completion of a security training program preferred.
• Experience with youth; excellent written and verbal communication; and computer proficiency required.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
• Maintaining logs, incident reports, and conducting investigations.
• Perform parking and traffic control.
• Assist in transporting students, and reporting and suppressing fires.
• Assist senior security officer and manager in coordinating and instituting programs that foster student retention.
• Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.

What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster in compliance with government and management directives.
