Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a security associate at our Milton location to patrol facilities, perform safety inspections, and secure all access points.

You will report incidents, follow security procedures, and respond to alarms while coordinating with supervisors and local authorities as needed. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED plus at least three years of security or warehouse experience, with a commitment to equal opportunity employment and safe, respectful workplace

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Conduct frequent patrols of the facilities and complete safety and security checks.
• Conduct foot patrols of the facilities where access is provided to identify safety and security concerns.
• Makes periodic tours about buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are properly secured.
• Provide feedback to supervisor of any exceptions, incidents or pertinent information.
• Ensure that all Company security standards, policies and procedures are maintained. Report any suspicious activity to the proper authorities.
• Ensure security of doors, windows and gates.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Complete a Shift Report per the Shift Report Writing Guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings/trainings as required.
• May serve as liaison with police on mutual problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not directly supervise associates.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years of experience in warehouse distribution, security or equivalent combination of education and experience.
