Position Summary

Security Guards shall be responsible for observing and reporting any suspicious activity, providing safety and protection to our employees and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Observe and report suspicious activity, identify subjects and provide detailed physical descriptors of any customer who may appear to show signs of suspicious behavior. Ability to provide details of any/all incidents that occur through incident reporting
• Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies and procedures
• Conduct detailed sweeps of the building including the surrounding property and parking lots, while practicing rigorous attention to
• Communicate and liaise with law enforcement, fire departments and other first Responder
• Establish and maintain working relationships and provide assistance as requested to managers, supervisors and employees on an ongoing basis to enhance the security and safety of all employees, contractors,
• Monitor property access and public access to the building using a closed-circuit television camera system in addition to visual surveillance while on foot patrol around the
• Working knowledge of security operations and safety practices, state and local laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Successfully complete a required background check
• Possess a valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Guard card
• Prior experience in the security field and/or customer service preferred
• Experience in communicating effectively and professionally with all
• Previous experience in the cannabis industry is highly recommended
• Consistently demonstrate integrity and honesty, reliability and dependability
• Available to work varies hours/days, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events
• Ability to diffuse high-intensity situations with diligence, professionalism, and
• Ability to draft security incident reports in a clear and concise manner with careful attention to detail.
