Job summary

Six Flags Great Adventure seeks energetic summer Public Safety Team members to patrol the park, conduct security screenings of guests, employees, and vendors, and enforce park policies to maintain a safe environment. You will respond to emergencies, monitor access, and document incidents while gaining valuable law enforcement exposure and enjoying rewarding benefits.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to read English, and capable of standing and walking long hours, with flexible availability

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to read and understand English.
• Able to lift and carry moderately heavy loads.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Interact with employees, guests, and vendors to provide directions and assistance.
• Protect employees, guests, and company property.
• Enforce resort policies and control park access.
• Check vehicle permits and scan ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Patrol assigned areas for safety hazards including fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
• Greet and screen entrants through metal detection and bag checks.
• Respond rapidly to alarms, first aid, and emergencies.
• Patrol ride queue lines and manage line jumpers for efficient boarding.
• Write detailed reports of damage, incidents, and security records.
• Escort guests and team members as needed for assistance and protection.

You will spend the summer patrolling Six Flags Great Adventure and conducting security screenings of guest, employees, and vendors while checking everything from guests’ bags to employee badges. You will maintain a safe and secure environment all while securing valuable law experience and rewarding benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with employees, guests, and vendors providing directions and assistance.
• Protecting employees, guests, and company property.
• Enforcing resort policies.
• Controlling park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Patrolling and inspecting assigned areas of the resort for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Keeping unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
• Greeting and screening those entering through metal detection and checking bags for prohibited items.
• Rapidly responding to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situations.
• Patrolling ride queue lines, removing line jumpers to ensure an efficient boarding process.
• Writing detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security records.
• Escorting guests and team members as needed for assistance and protection.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a smile.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift and/or carry moderately heavy loads.
• Physical qualifications to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift.
• Above average verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Previous Law Enforcement, Public Security, or Security related experience is preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
