Job summary

PiOUS Security is hiring Professional Security Officers on a part-time basis with flexible schedules to serve clients and communities. Officers will provide professional security services, monitor sites, and respond to incidents with a focus on safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a high school diploma, able to obtain a state guard license, and capable of passing background checks and drug screening. Strong communication and calm crisis-management skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to obtain a valid guard card/license as required by state
• Pass background check and drug screen per laws
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate technology at client sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk long periods

Responsibilities

• Protect people and property at client sites
• Monitor premises and report incidents or security breaches
• Respond to alarms and security events in a timely manner
• Maintain a professional presence and assist clients as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Able to obtain a valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
• As a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skillsHave intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Able to:
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
