Job summary

Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM) is hiring for three Graveyard Security positions. LVRM has a team of Security who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Security will either work 12am-8am or 10pm-6am, patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry to the property. Security oversees a team of work therapy residents from the Lighthouse Recovery Program and complies with all policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Bilingual speaking preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Publisher and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.

• Ability to demonstrate healthy boundaries and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Data entry for census, rosters, and supplies.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Bed checks during night shifts.
• Ensure property security during evening hours for guests and residents.
• Inspect facilities, locks, and equipment.
• Maintain safety of all persons on site.
• Lead and organize the team during emergencies (fire, evacuation, etc.).
• Oversee meals designated to the shift.

LVRM is a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and addiction. The Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM) is hiring for three (3) Graveyard Security positions. LVRM has a team of Security who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are a vital part of the Operations Department and help ensure the safety and smooth operation of the Mission, for residents, shelter guests, staff and visitors alike.

Security will either work 12am-8am or 10pm-6am. Security oversees a team of work therapy residents from the Lighthouse Recovery Program. The team together helps to secure the premises and personnel by patrolling the property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings; equipment, and access points and permitting entry to the property. In doing so, Security must comply with all standards and directions specified by the Director of Safety and Security, Senior Staff, Board of Directors, and Mission policy.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Data entry: census, roster checks, inventory of supplies, etc.
• Follow all LVRM policies and procedures regarding safety
• Bed checks throughout night

• Ensure that the property is properly secured for the evening hours; this includes our guests and residents.

• Inspecting facilities to include locks, equipment, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring the safety of all persons on LVRM property.

• Responsible for leading and organizing the team when faced with an emergency situation. (i.e. fire, plumbing, evacuation, lockdown and when emergency services are called)
• Oversee meals designated to shift

Qualifications

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, offering a competitive benefit package and paid vacation. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
