Job summary

Centerra Gold Inc. in Langeloth, PA is seeking a Security Guard to safeguard the site, patrol grounds, monitor surveillance, and manage access control. This onsite role requires vigilance, fast response, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

You will document incidents, complete reports, receive deliveries, and collaborate with site management. A high school diploma is required and security training is preferred; the company offers an attractive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the grounds or buildings regularly.
• Review surveillance cameras as needed.
• Establish and review the identification required to enter the building or property.
• Verify all doors, windows and gates are secure on the property on a rotating schedule.
• Escort released employees off the property as well as any other trespassers.
• Investigate security breaches, incidents and other suspicious behavior.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information and occurrences.
• Knowledge of alarm system, safety procedures and emergency procedures.
• Answer and place phone calls as needed.
• Receive deliveries and notify the appropriate department.
• Weigh trucks in and out using the truck scale.
• Complete the daily absentee and timecard exception report.
• Conduct roll call each shift for incoming and outgoing employees.
• Monitor weather conditions and contact snow removal services as directed by a supervisor.
• Record required readings (water, stack, weather, etc.).
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with established procedure and specifications.
• Stays up to date on industry best practices and refresher trainings throughout the year of all SOP’s and JSA’s.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Security Guard to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA. This role is responsible for patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment and access points and ensuring secure premise and personnel.
