Job summary

Flexcompute is seeking a hands-on software engineer to advance security across our web application, AWS, and on-prem HPC environments. You will build security features, orchestrate jobs securely, and respond to alerts in a fast-growing HPC-enabled startup.

You should have hands-on backend, DevOps, or security engineering experience, with familiarity in Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud security. US citizenship or green card is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Backend or DevOps experience with a security focus.
• Experience securing cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Experience deploying or working with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate security features into web applications and admin platforms.
• Implement and maintain AWS security controls, IAM, encryption, backups, logging.
• Securely orchestrate customer jobs across cloud and HPC environments.
• Respond to security alerts and triage findings with developers.
• Maintain vulnerability scanning tooling and remediation workflows.
• Harden and secure on-prem HPC infrastructure.
• Enhance compliance tooling integrations and remediation efforts.
