Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Flex Officer Retail Patrol in Austin, TX. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a flexible, self-scheduling program. You will patrol sites, respond to alerts, and help customers and staff in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screening. You’ll join a leading security team that values dependable, adaptable professionals.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background investigation will be conducted as part of the employment process.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking.
• Monitor entrances and exits and authorize access where required.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required by post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
