Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Charlotte, NC. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a base shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More program.

The position pays $22.00 per hour with a commitment to a designated site for six months, and potential progression toward a full-time schedule. Eligible for benefits and advancement within a leading security firm.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, tenants, and financial institution personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking facilities, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, assist with badge verification and reporting.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.

As a Security Flex Officer PT Experienced in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking facilities, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, assisting with badge verification, visitor direction, and reporting unusual conditions.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
