Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to guard client sites across industries. The role uses our shift-pickup platform to select open shifts that fit your schedule, helping you gain varied site experience.

You may be called for irregular shifts with little notice, and weekend availability is required. The position is part-time with an $18 per hour rate, offering hands-on experience, growth opportunities, and a chance to build a schedule that suits you while serving

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; pending criminal histories considered.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and consoles.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with the public effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and diplomatically address issues.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and manage entry points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper client procedures.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports; maintain logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
