Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation per federal/state/local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed) as required by state.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Excellent oral and written communication; write clearly and informatively.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; mediate conflict with tact.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular conditions that may create security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department if needed.
• Warn violators of rules (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Monitor entrances and exits; permit authorized persons only.
• Protect company property; ensure proper removal of items per client requirements.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; keep logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
