Job summary

Security America, Inc. in Charleston, WV, is seeking a Security/Utility Officer to support staffing at accounts and assist with start-ups at new sites.

The role involves working weekends and holidays, performing special assignments, and responding to high-need periods with limited notice. Ideal candidates are at least 18, able to work flexible schedules, and can pass a thorough background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules.
• High school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience.
• Pass an extensive background check including criminal history, employment verification and references, registered sex-offender search, and driver's license validation.
• Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen (unless undergoing documented medical treatment).
• Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally for report writing and interacting with the public and emergency personnel.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required.

Starting pay rate is $15.50 an hour with a $300 hiring bonus after 90 days full time.
