Job summary

Cyderes invites a skilled Tanium Engineer to join our team in optimizing the Tanium platform across enterprise environments. You will deploy, configure, and manage Tanium modules, improving endpoint visibility and security posture while driving operational efficiencies.

Candidates should have hands-on Tanium experience, strong Windows and Linux administration skills, and proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automation. Hybrid work arrangements are available in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in endpoint engineering or related IT role.
• Hands-on Tanium deployment, configuration and admin.
• Experience with Tanium modules: Patch, Comply, Asset, Discover, Deploy, Interact, Threat Response.
• Strong Windows and Linux management in large enterprises.
• Scripting: PowerShell or Python for automation.

• Deploy and maintain the Tanium platform across enterprise environments.
• Implement and optimize Tanium modules (Asset, Discover, Comply, Patch, Deploy, Interact, Threat Response).
• Manage endpoint visibility, asset discovery, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure automated patching and software deployment.
• Monitor endpoint health and recommend remediation strategies.
• Develop Tanium queries, dashboards, and operational workflows.
• Support investigations and incident response using Tanium Threat Response.
• Integrate Tanium with SIEM, EDR, ITSM, and vulnerability tools.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell or Python to improve processes.
• Troubleshoot Tanium performance, agent deployment, and connectivity issues.

About the Role:

Cyderes is seeking an experienced Tanium Engineer to support the implementation, administration, and optimization of the Tanium platform across complex enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Tanium endpoint management, vulnerability management, patching, security operations, and automation. This individual will work closely with internal security teams and enterprise clients to improve endpoint visibility, strengthen security posture, and drive operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain the Tanium platform across enterprise environments.
• Implement and optimize Tanium modules, including Asset, Discover, Comply, Patch, Deploy, Interact, and Threat Response.
• Manage endpoint visibility, asset discovery, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.
• Configure and maintain automated patch management and software deployment processes.
• Monitor endpoint health, identify security gaps, and recommend remediation strategies.
• Develop and maintain Tanium queries, dashboards, reports, and operational workflows.
• Support endpoint security investigations and incident response activities using Tanium Threat Response.
• Integrate Tanium with enterprise security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, ITSM, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies to improve endpoint management processes.
• Troubleshoot Tanium platform performance, connectivity, agent deployment, and configuration issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, security engineering, systems administration, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and administering the Tanium platform.
• Experience with Tanium modules such as Patch, Comply, Asset, Discover, Deploy, or Threat Response.
• Strong understanding of enterprise endpoint management and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems in large enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of patch management, asset inventory, endpoint security, and software deployment practices.Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting and automation technologies.
